Papertrey Ink: In Stitches Adorable Apron Die

Image
Hello!  Today I'm sharing two fun cards using the New In Stitches: Adorable Apron Die from Papertrey Ink.  This is such an adorable set and so fun to work with!  The set comes with two different apron shapes and all the accessories you need to decorate!   For my first card, I created a more feminine look!  First, I layered up some patterned papers on my card front.  Then I started creating my apron.  I die cut all the pieces out of card stock then felt.  Layered the two together, I stitched them into one embellishment using embroidery thread.  Then I attached the little apron to the front of my card using hot glue.  For the little utensils, I tucked them into the apron pocket and adhered them so they wouldn't fall out in transit.  The apron strings and bow were die cut using card stock.  A few enamel dots and a sweet sentiment finish it off.  Such a great way to show someone how much you appreciate them! ...

Papertrey Ink Buid-a-Lamb

Image
Hello, I'm here today sharing 3 fun projects using the new Build-a-Lamb Die set from Papertrey Ink.  This set is so versatile because it allows you to create a stitched project or a layered embellishment without the stitching.  The best of both worlds!   For my projects today, I created 3 different looks using the stitching dies in this set.  I love that you can get so many different styles of stitched projects just by changing the products used.   For my first project, I decided to create a cute little tag.  I used the Quilted Tag Die and cut some card stock in white.  Then I layered on some yellow gingham paper in the background and added my felt lamb embellishment to the top using hot glue.  To create the lamb, I die cut the background layer in white card stock and then cut the rest of the pieces out of felt.  Using embroidery thread, I layered the pieces together and stitched them together.  A sweet little pink bow an...

In Stitches: Birdhouse Gift Sack

Image
Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a sweet little altered gift sack using the adorable In Stitches: Birdhouse Die.   To create this sweet little bag, I used a plain white treat bag in my stash and altered the front with some patterned paper and stitched embellishment.  I die cut the birdhouse using patterned paper and card stock.  Then I stitched it together using embroidery thread.  For the flowers and leaves, I used felt.  I just love how this turned out!  So cute!  I adhered the stitched house to the front on the patterned paper using foam tape to give it some dimension.  Then I folded the top of the bag, added some more patterned paper and used some yellow ribbon to tie it closed.  This would be such a sweet way to deliver a gift!   Be sure to join us over on the  Facebook Stitching Club!   Product List:  In Stitches Birdhouse Felt Harvest Gold Felt Rasberry Fizz Felt Simply Chartreuse Lemon Ta...

Papertrey Ink: Stitched Valentine Tags

Image
Hello!  I'm hopping on today to share some cute little Valentine Tags!  I just love how these turned out and they were so quick and easy to make! To start, I used the Tag Sale Quilted Die to cut two tags from black card stock.  Then I trimmed two squares from the woodgrain patterned paper and sized them to fit just inside the scalloped tags. For the stitched elements on the tags, I die cut some red felt and red card stock using the Valentine Stitches Die Collection.  Then I stitched the two layers together.  Once the stitching was all finished, I glued the felt pieces onto the center of my tags.  Some stitched ribbon and twine, finish these off perfectly.   Thank you so much for stopping by!  Be sure to  join us at the Stitching Club Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PTIStitchingClub/ There's so much inspiration there!  Hello, I'm back today sharing a sweet little Ornament I created using the Papertrey Ink Christmas Tree Change Up Dies.  I had so much fun stitching up this little tree, adding a different color of sequins to each side.  So cute!   To create my little tree, I die cut the green felt using the Christmas Tree Change Up: Box Die twice.  Then I used the Christmas Tree Change Up: Stitching Die to add the holes.  I stitched on sequins and seed beads from my stash, a different color on each side.  Then I stitched up the sides of the tree and added poly fill to the inside of the ornament.  A little bakers twine and a bow at the top finishes it off.  Such a cute addition to my Christmas tree.   Be sure to join us over on the  Facebook Stitching Club!   Products Used: Christmas Tree Change Up: Box Die Christmas Tree Change Up: Stitching Die Felt: Ocean Tides

Papertrey Ink In stitches: Acorn Die

Image
Hello!  Fall is here and today I'm sharing some sweet little projects that make the cutest little gifts!  These Apple Cider pouches are just adorable and they're so quick and easy to make!   To begin, I started with some patterned paper and sized it to fit the Apple Cider packets I picked up at the grocery store.  I cut the paper into strips and folded in half.  Then I stitched down each side with my sewing machine to create a custom pouch.   Next, I die cut the In Stitches Acord die from solid colored cardstock and then again from felt.  See below for all the colors I used.  I stitched the felt to the cardstock using coordinating embroidery floss and glued the top of the acorn to the bottom.  You can stitch these two together, but for this project, it was just as easy to use hot glue.  A cute little button and some twine add adorable finishing touches to the acorns.  I also added some "thanks a bunch" sentiments ju...

Papertrey Ink In Stitches: Big Apple Die

Image
Hello,  I'm back today sharing some fun projects using the In Stitches: Big Apple Die from Papertrey Ink.  This die is so fun and versatile.  I love that you can create so many different looks with one die set!   First up, I created this sweet plush chocolate dipped apple ornament.  I used the Simply Chartreuse Felt for the green apple and Dark Chocolate Felt for the chocolate dip.  The die set come with a plate designed to stitch sprinkles.  However, I used tan thread to mimic the apple being dipped in nuts.  To finish off this sweet design, I added a wooden popsicle stick and adhered it with a little hot glue at the top.  A cute gingham bow and some twine complete the design.   For my second project, I created an adorable teacher card by pairing the In Stitched Big Apple Die with the Stiched Pencil Die.  These two go so nicely together!  I started by adding some fun patterned paper to the background of the ca...
